Our Mission
Squares and killjoys throughout the ages have always declared art they don’t understand to be the work of the devil. That Devil Music Festival celebrates the artists who said to that “Hell Yeah.” We are not here to preach or argue that our god can beat up your god; we know that a god that rejects you does not deserve you.
Our Vision
That Devil Music Festival seeks to celebrate art that confronts and satirizes society’s fear of death, darkness and the unknown. More than just musicians on a stage, we bring a collection of immersive experiences that surround and merge with the audience, so that we might all face our fears together and make peace with them.
Our Values
That Devil Music Festival values the dark celebrations that transcend human concerns, and in practical terms this means:
Unite the fringes into a lasting and supportive creative community.
Create opportunities for artists who confront authority, convention, sanctimony and, in some cases, good taste.
Compensate artists and contributors fairly.
Do no harm, take no shit. Consent matters.
Welcome the outcast. There is no wrong way to love and there is no wrong way to experience oneself. No one shall be shunned for who they are. We will all be of the same mud one day.
